don't know if there was ever a volume two
this is some book my uncle had when he was a child - maybe from the 1920's
it's one of those terrifying books of colonial gung-ho and taming of
natives
perhaps some might find the content ironic or humourous now, but i'm not
sure i do
it has some beautiful photographs though in its many 'photogravure sections' and the illustrations and maps seem so fantastical
anyway here's a splendid winter warmer outfit - and a stray fragment of a map
maybe one day i'll scan in some of the photos
